On a lighter note: What’s so funny?!
I’ll be honest, I had no clue National Laughter Day existed until today. Learning there’s an entire day just for laughing actually made me laugh.
I couldn’t keep this to myself. To honour the day, and my surprise, let’s take a break from being serious. Hahaha!😂🤣😂
Did you know World Laughter Day has been spreading smiles since Dr. Madan Kataria founded it back in 1998?
It’s a lovely celebration of simple joy, grounded in the idea that when we’re truly happy, that positivity naturally radiates to those around us.

Laughter does wonders for your well-being, and science backs it up. Check out these 10 fun facts about how it helps your health:
1. Laughter works as a natural painkiller. When you laugh, your body releases endorphins—those “feel-good” chemicals that boost your mood and help ease pain for a while.
2. Your heart benefits from a good laugh. Laughing helps your blood vessels work better and boosts blood flow, which acts like a workout for your veins and may help protect against heart attacks.
3. Laughter is like a mini-workout. Laughing for 10 to 15 minutes a day can burn around 40 calories, which could add up over time.
4. Laughter helps your immune system. It lowers stress hormones and increases antibodies that fight infection, making you more resistant to getting sick.
5. Laughter is a great way to relieve stress. After a good laugh, your body relaxes, and your muscles can stay loose for up to 45 minutes.
6. Proverbs 17:22 says that a cheerful heart is like medicine. Think of a good laugh as a refillable prescription with zero side effects! Choosing cheer doesn’t just make us feel better in the moment; it acts as a tonic for our health and a light for everyone around us.
7. Laughter may help you live longer. A 15-year study in Norway found that people with a good sense of humour lived longer than those who didn’t laugh as much, especially if they had health problems.
8. Laughter brings people together. We’re much more likely to laugh in a group than alone, which helps us connect with others.
9. Laughter is good for your brain. It increases oxygen flow, which can clear away brain fog, help you focus, and even improve your memory.
10. Animals laugh too! Researchers have found that at least 65 species, including dogs, rats, cows, and foxes, make playful sounds similar to human laughter.
Thanks for laughing with me!😁😅
💡By the way, I have a few true funny stories, I’ll edit and post.
