The Fruit of the Spirit

A Quick Encouragement: Growing from the Inside Out
I hope the months ahead bring you an abundance of the Spirit’s gifts: peace to steady you, unexpected joy, gentle steps, and goodness in every interaction.
In the days to come, I hope each moment feels nourishing and vibrant, reminding you that the Holy Spirit is close by, bringing something sweet and life-giving into your life.
I deliberately use references so you can sit and pray with the words, making it easy for you to jot down notes. (You welcome!)
1. Your Internal Foundation
God needs to change our perspective before we can change the world around us.
- Love means seeing others the way God does and finding grace even in people who are hard to love. (Baker, 2020)
- Joy is a deep sense of contentment that comes from knowing God is in control, even when life feels chaotic. (Alleyne, 2024)
- Peace is a steady presence that protects your heart and quiets your thoughts, helping you pause and remember that God is close. (Philippians 4:7-11, n.d.)
2. Your Relational Evidence
How we respond to life’s tough challenges, such as hard situations or difficult people, shows what is growing inside us.
- Long-suffering means waiting for God’s timing without getting angry, and trusting Him even when things are delayed. (What does the Bible mean by longsuffering?, 2026)
- Kindness and goodness show grace in action. When we understand the mercy that keeps us going, we naturally share that same kindness with others. (Scott, 2019)
3. Your Personal Commitment
Our daily habits help us stay focused on God.
- Faithfulness means being loyal and dependable because God never changes. (Saldivar, 2026)
- Gentleness is having strength but keeping it under control, just as God gently guides us. (MacArthur, n.d.)
- Self-control helps us align our desires with God’s will, so we can pay attention to what He is doing rather than just what we want. (Topical Bible: Self-Control and Will, n.d.)
