A Month to Remember
Just thinking…🤔
Why do people say that September is a month to remember, when I wonder what about November and December, which both have the ’ember’?
And what about October?
I guess even without the “-ember,” October glows with its own kind of fire.
More on October later.
This September carries a quiet ache. The days feel longer, not because of light, but because of loss. Yet even in the stillness, something stirs; a soft resilience, a whisper that healing is not forgetting, but remembering with less pain. The leaves begin to turn, and so do we.

Right now, the calendar feels like a mirror,
Each month a frame for my anxious heart,
And I remember in my devotional today, God hasn’t
given me a spirit of anxiety.
Still creating, still chasing the light.
September vibrates with possibility.
A breeze slips through the window,
Singing softly, begin again.
My computer glows, ideas fluttering like leaves,
Restless, ready to fall into something new.
I’m hopeful, unmovable,
Tweaking my journals, choosing a poem,
Wondering if this post, this story,
Will spark a connection I can’t yet see…
Indeed, September is a month to remember,
Filled with moments that linger in our hearts
Long after the days have passed.
Its beauty and significance continue to unfold,
Promising more unforgettable experiences just around the corner.
And it is not done yet…
