“A Pun of Trouble” reflects the personal challenges and resilience faced in times of adversity. I draw from my own experiences to connect with and inspire those who have encountered similar struggles. The title is a play on the word “trouble,” highlighting both the difficulties encountered and the subtle, nuanced meanings that life’s challenges can present.

A Pun of Trouble
Trouble’s a troll, that brutish bore,
bearing down my throat, blocking any escape.
Brulot flies buzz, their stings relentless,
a swarm of strife, impossible to out-shout.
This dark orb’s gloom, a blue tube trap,
I’m caught inside, so desperate for a map.
Trouble takes its toll, an endless burden,
my life, a wrecked tollbooth.
Woe sneers, smirking from the shadows,
serving up misery with extra quirks.
Here’s my quip, my wit’s retort:
trouble’s a court, endlessly mocking,
with no final snort.
Trouble’s a task, an endless climb,
each step draining more of my time.
Hazards here, menaces there,
danger permeating the very air.
Trouble’s a toil, ceaseless and grinding,
no peaceful solace within reach.
Malady strikes, my body quakes,
in trouble’s wake, my spirit shatters.
Fear, the fee I must pay,
for a life drenched in dismay.
