Do not let fear take hold of your heart

Stop Hyperventilating
Yes! There is pure madness around us today.
Yes! You look around, and all you see is sadness.
Yes! No one’s listening to the truth anymore.
Yes! The government does not care about the poor.
Yes! You were left on Mr. and Mrs. Foster’s steps. And
Yes! You are still here today.
You hope that someday the nightmare will end, that someone will spare
The time to remove the frown glued on your forehead.
You wish for mother, for father, to live,
Yet their absence whispers louder than death.
You are asking, “What’s wrong with us today?”
Yes, our children have wandered astray,
While predators slip poison into their veins.
They are left to fend for themselves, lost in the deepest drains,
While the neighbour’s tongue slanders, casting shadows on your name.
Shame lurks, eager to wear your fame as its disguise.
Yes, decisions waver, and uncertain paths collide.
Yes, another holds your dream,
While you scream with unknown shadows
The end is near!
Terrorism is on the rise.
Yes! You sigh, close your eyes, and hope that all the bad will fly away;
Your senses are now numb to the voice of faith-
While the doctors keep saying,
“Stop hyperventilating and
Rest your soul.” Again, I say,
Yes, the madness will remain long after you’re gone.
