(From my old journal-A moment of depression isn’t easy, it’s a heavy experience, one that reveals life’s bitter, sour, and sweet sides all at once.)
Writing therapy offers a gentle way to recover from mental stress or depression by giving your inner world a safe place to breathe. When you put your thoughts on paper, you slow them down long enough to understand them, rather than letting them swirl unchecked in your mind. This simple act of expression can ease emotional pressure, create clarity, and help you make meaning out of what feels heavy. Over time, writing becomes more than a coping tool—it becomes a pathway toward healing, self‑awareness, and renewed strength.

What is the shape of your pain? Trust that even this can be used to lift and strengthen others. Offer it honestly, and express it through the creative gifts God has placed within you.
I often contemplate God’s mathematical principles, which reveal His mysterious nature. His boundless love and miraculous ability to perform unexplainable wonders remind us that He is beyond human comprehension.
God’s mathematical wisdom is both evident and hidden. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. – 2 Peter 1:2 KJV
Each word I write is a lifeline, a way to soothe the ache in my soul and untangle the grief that has rewired my mind. The weight of sorrow has pressed into every corner of my thoughts, shaping my actions in ways I never intended, filling my days with bitterness, isolation, and choices that only deepened the hurt. But through these words, I reach for solace, for understanding, for a path forward. In pouring out my pain, I hope to reclaim the pieces of myself that felt lost and find moments of peace within the chaos.
Written in times of therapy.
Mathematics of Pain
Does pain plus pain equal gain?
Without any subtraction, just the strain
I will have a mold so high,
In all my dreams, I could die.
I cannot attempt to multiply,
For the pain may seem greater than the sky.
That would lead me to insanity,
More overwhelming than the sand of the sea.
There is more to consider on either side:
Pain will gain equally, where growth resides.
Or minus the opposite, where sorrows confide.
So, before you ask me to bracket the most relevant pain,
Which one should I start with in this endless chain?
Is it the one that shuts my eyes,
Or opens my belly to the ground’s cries?
In preparation for a rectangular box,
Set for all my bitter lamentations and paradox.
Wait.
To calculate the times I have cried,
The difficulties are too vast and cannot be denied.
No more shutting of my eyes, I must cry,
No more folding of my arms, I must reach high.
Here is all my pain; though bitter it may be,
It will be made sweet, one day you will see.
